• Originally there was only local
• The iPhone changed that since users now had multiple devices
• S3, Dropbox, etc happened
• Around 2012 Apple’s iCloud / CoreData file sync was LoFi
  • I disagree that this was LoFi: you could absolutley lose data with iCloud when files conflicted
• He built an equivalent (“Ensambles”)
