Sometimes called βdecentralised Twitterβ, Bluesky was granted no-strings-attached seed funding from Twitter, and set off to build a better (more decentralised) social media. Theyβve built the Authenticated Transfer Protocol (βATProtoβ) to eventually power a decentralised (or at least federated) series of clients and other applications. Some users have already begun experimenting with consuming Atproto in other apps.
